Use this checklist as a quick inspection, not a substitute for checking the parts that came with your setup.

Before a session

  • Check that each wheel is secure and turns freely.
  • Look for wheel contact, loose hardware or unusual side-to-side movement.
  • Listen for new grinding and feel for a wheel that sticks.

After dusty or damp conditions

  • Wipe away dirt and moisture from the wheels and accessible hardware.
  • Store the board in a dry, ventilated place.
  • Inspect again before the next ride, especially if a wheel feels rough or makes a new noise.

When cleaning or lubricating

  • Clean only when needed and use products compatible with the bearing materials.
  • Let bearings dry fully before adding lubricant.
  • Follow the cleaner and lubricant labels and any DSCO product instructions.

Replace rather than risk it

If a bearing is cracked, visibly damaged, significantly rusty or remains rough after appropriate care, do not ride it. Check the DSCO maintenance page and our guide to replacing bearings.
