Water and damp storage can affect bearing lubricant and contribute to corrosion. A wet ride does not let you know by itself whether a bearing is damaged; inspect the setup before riding again.
After a wet session
Wipe the wheels and accessible hardware, then store the board somewhere dry and ventilated. Do not pack a damp board into a closed bag. Avoid excessive heat or a cleaning method that could damage shields or other parts.
Inspect before the next ride
Once the setup is dry, spin each wheel and listen and feel for roughness or sticking. Check for visible rust or damaged shields. Clean only when appropriate, use products compatible with the bearing, and let it dry fully before lubrication or reinstallation.
